Ideas for powering wall-mounted tablet

So, what did you do with the wireless charging pad hanging off the back of the tablet?

It was tucked inside the case the tablet was in....along with the thin metal strips that the magnet attached itself to.

Just seems like a big expense and a lot of extra work. You could have probably just bought another tablet after all that time and money.

Actually quite easy and quite cheap if it worked...besides..the cost wasn't a factor. Just a fun project and seamless convenience. Walk by, pop the tablet off the wall. When done slap it back in place. No fuss and a clean look. Sadly it failed.

Okay...I would suspect because the tablet needs a lot more juice to charge than you can get from a Qi wireless charger. Look how long it takes to charge your phone over wireless.

The problem was that the wireless chargers did not provide enough power to charge the tablets

Seemed like a great idea but never got past getting the tablet to charge even when the coil and the pad were in direct contact.

Nope. I was responding to @Navat604 post about the wireless charging solution and stating why it did NOT work for me.

I had my suspicions before I ordered the parts but it only cost a few bucks so why not try. I hoped the fire tab 7's wouldn't need too much juice. I was wrong.
