ID Lock z-wave

Hi
I have tried to connect my id lock with hubitate but have no success to get them connected.
I have now googled and searched this hubitat forum with no success to get any answers to my problem.
Is there any way to get it to work together?

I haven't heard of this device before and don't see it on the compatible device list, but because it's Z-Wave, there's a good chance it will work or should at least pair (but will likely still work with a generic driver or a custom one if needed). Because it's not even pairing, that suggests to me that something else is going on. So, some general Z-Wave troubleshooting:

  1. Have you tried a Z-Wave exclusion before the inclusion/pairing? On Hubitat, you can do this from the same screen where you include a Z-Wave device (just click the exclusion button instead). The device manual should tell you how to put the lock into exclusion mode (often the same as inclusion mode, but check the manual).

  2. In addition to the above or maybe instead of it (but doing both won't hurt), have you tried a "reset" or "factory rest" of the lock? Again, the lock's manual should tell you how.

  3. How far are you from the hub when pairing? With many older secure devices, the instruction manual for the device will tell you to keep the device near the hub when pairing to "whisper" pair. For modern devices, this usually isn't necessary, but check what the manual says--or maybe try it anyway.

  4. What model of Hubitat hub do you have? If you got it recently, I assume you have a C-7. In that case, make sure that under Settings > Z-Wave Details, you have your "Region" for Z-Wave set appropriately. Ideally, this would match the region where you live; from a technical standpoint, it just needs to match the frequency/region used by the devices you're using. So in your case, you need to make sure that the hub and the lock are set to use the same frequency (determined by region). If you're using a C-3, C-4, or C-5 model Hubitat instead, then you need to make sure that you're either wanting to use US/North American frequencies (with the internal C-5 radio) or that your external Z-Wave stick matches the region of your devices.

It's also possible that this is an oddball device that just won't work, but i see it's relatively recent and appears to be certified Z-Wave Plus, so if you can't get it to pair, then something else may be wrong.

Hi and thank you for your reply.
Now I have tried everything you suggested sadly with no luck.
I have a C-5 hub and no external z-wave stick and living in Sweden can that be the problem then?

There are basically only 2 locks to use in Sweden and thats yale doorman or id lock 150

If you're using the internal radio in the C-5, then yes: that is North American Z-Wave frequency (908.4 MHz). I assume your lock uses the EU/CEPT frequency (868.4 MHz), but your device might say this on the box, in the manual, or on the device if you want to be sure. If so, the C-5 will need a matching external Z-Wave stick (with the appropriate frequency/region) in order to use this device--or any Z-Wave device in this region.

Perfect.
Is it a stick like this I need then?:

You need to ask Hibitat support which SPECIFIC zwave usb stick you can use.

It does not support very many / all sticks.

And you will need a USB “Y” splitter cable so that the hub can be powered while the USB stick is connected.

If you purchased the EU version of the C5, it should have come with an external USB z-wave radio, and a microUSB OTG cable.

@r.cederberg did you get the lock to work with hubitat in the end?

I have been considering either the ID lock or yale doorman, but I see no point until I can integrate with HE
