@tmpullen Ahh I didn't see your screen cap but now that I do your prob is your subnet. You're using a /24 subnet and you want to put your hub on .10.x but you cannot have 0.1 as your gateway because of your /24 subnet. You would have to use a gateway within .10.x and then have your router (which should be controlling your vlans) to route traffic from .10.x to .0.x and ultimately .0.1
The Static IP screen will not allow me to change the gateway. When I try to change the Default Gateway settings in the Static IP screen I get this error: "IP address must belong to subnet 192.168.0.xxx or you will not be able to communicate with the hub"
Press the network reset button on the bottom of the hub for 7 seconds with a toothpic or paperclip. It will be the only round hole out of all the square ones. When the light turns green from your pc go to http://hubitat.local and then manually enter in your ip addr, sub, and gw (in that order)
http://hubitat.local takes me to Hubitat's "Welcome" screen. Where do I enter the network info?
How many hubs are you running?
Two.
disconnect the other one from the network then power cycle the one you are trying to get to then do hubitat.local again
I'm on it.
http://hubitat.local is unreachable, but I can still get to the hub on it's old address.
did you do the network reset button?
When you first requested it, yes.
Should I do it again?
Answering for Rick, yes do it right after power cycling.
In this order, I did:
hub shutdown
power cycle
Pray
Network button reset
Curse
"http://hubitat.local"
No change it comes up as hubitat.local ’s DNS address could not be found.
I did some digging and it appears that my TPlink ER605 "Business Solution" "router" is not capable of local DNS. WTF? -- But... TPlink support says they are definitely thinking about, thinking about it. LOL.
I will look for a solution to my DNS problem but when I get it solved what should I be looking for once I connect to HTTP://hubitat.local? Is it a screen, will it ask for the info in order, comma-separated string?
use angry ip scanner (it's free) to scan your network and see what ip it's at
If it's at the old ip then manually set yhe ip, subnet, and gateway (in that order) Do it from a pc and if it error's out screen shot the error for me
The IP address is 192.168.0.120. when I enter that address I get the Welcome screen. I don't get a prompt to enter stuff.
Go to Network in Settings
I am there. There are 5 menu choices. Which one do I pick?
Switch to static IP
Set IP
Set subnet to /20
Set router gateway
Then
Save
IP and Gateway are 192.168.10.y addresses

Been there, it didn't work. I'm hoping rlithgow1 will have something else in mind
