Those are the Big Bullet Points... but it's glossing over the fact that both ZWave and Zigbee chips are new/upgraded versions and that the antennas for them are external. Yes, together that results in greater range, if the antennas are properly oriented.

So l take it, not really worth upgrading unless you are currently having range issues and/or require built-in WiFi or l am missing something here?
Those are the current benefits. Other possible future updates are:
- Matter (very likely why they switched to C8 in the first place)
- Z-wave Long Range (now theoretically possible and somewhat likely, staff will probably tell us more once the LR devices start being produced so they can be tested)
- Zigbee Green Power (unknown, but should be possible now?)
I have used the c7 with Aqara mesh to the C8 and so far so good. I couldn't get them on the C8 and they worked fine with the C7 I hate to trash them they are pretty good devices and inexpensive too. I suggest give it a go!
.117 firmware is out with a fix for the HUE motion issues to try out.
