Hi there I am totally new to the Z WAVE automation and the Hubitat. I purchased and installed I blinds in January 2021 and have installed on Hubitat. I can control the blinds from the Hubitat portal but cannot figure how to automate. What app can I use? Modes, rule machine? I just want to open in the morning and close at night. Thank you in advance. Looking forward to learning more. Brian
I use a simple automation to open and close my five blinds, and using scenes I've found it to be very reliable. Below is my automation to close the blinds.
You can also treat them like a dimmer and use "Set Level" commands in apps to control them. You can also use on/off commands as if they are a normal switch. On= open to the level you set in the driver, off = closed.
Below is a quick mock-up of a SImple automation rule using set level to control iBlinds...this would open them to 50% level, and the turn off action in the automation will close them.
