These bulbs are advertised as having a CT range of 2200K to 6500K, yet in the Hue and Hue Dynamic app when they are set at the lowest HE allows (2203K), I can still set them lower on my mobile app (which also makes them dimmer). Maybe they should have a low end value of 2000K like the Hue color bulbs?
I was going to delete my post, but just for the sake of information I'll add this. Only two of my White Ambiance bulbs show a noticeable difference between 2000K and 2200K. The rest (12) don't. As it is the two are in my ensuite bathroom and I was used to seeing them dimmer when I used Homeseer which is what prompted my original post. Anyway HE has provided about 80% of the speed of Homeseer (very remarkable considering I ran it on a high end Intel NUC) but with ZigBee and event handling that is so superior I can't even think of going back.
Well you got me excited, but unfortunately my Hue CT bulbs don't go down to 2000. Recently with a firmware update the LIFX Day/Dusk bulbs are unofficially able to go to 6000, higher than the advertised 4000 and what the official app is capable of. So I thought perhaps you had discovered a similar easter egg. However, it is possible the range of these bulbs can be widened by a future firmware update.
