I currently have Ecobee Lite thermostats and am done with setting schedules... I want to try out Nest with its machine learning on what we want.
However their remote sensors are useless. I have two zones on each side of the house, and while the remote sensors will help with the kids rooms, the office and guest rooms are way more than 50ft away (the remote sensor bluetooth distance limit, with no means of extending).
Meanwhile, my favorite motion lighting solution is the Hue Indoor Motion Sensor, which measures temp as well.
Can I integrate my Hue Indoor Motion sensors to a Nest thermostat 3gen without bypassing its machine learning features?
Honeywell T6 pro z-wave or go control. Nest is crap
Thank you for your feedback, but my question is:
"Can I integrate my Hue Indoor Motion sensors to a Nest thermostat 3gen without bypassing its machine learning features?"
If you can get your nest hooked up to HE yes it will be fine. There is alpha API work going on in one of the forums. There isn't any native integration for Nest itself...
Thanks. With a little research, I'm liking the looks of Ecobee + Flair Puck and Flair Vents, much better than the Nest offering... I ordered a few to see if they really do integrate and work like they say.
Ecobee while having direct integration with HE is still cloud based. I would look at either the Honeywell T6 Pro z-wave, GoControl, or Sinope offerings (Sinope is functional and pretty and zigbee)
