Hue motion sensors - new Vs old?

I’ve seen a few discussions around here regarding the hue sensors and some issues with the new version. I’m not sure if it’s been completely resolved? Are both versions fully supported at this point?

Given a choice, is there any actual reason to choose one over the other? I found one selling both, with the old version marginally cheaper.

FWIW, I have one old and one new (both paired direct to HE), and I can't tell any difference performance-wise.
