Hue Motion Sensor v1. Hubitat C8. Motion status does not update

I have a hue motion sensor (v1) paired directly with the hubitat (c8).

The event logs only report changes to lux and temperature. I do see a motion inactive/active entry that occurred during pairing. But no motion updates since then. Status is currently stuck on active.

What should I try next?

I would try pairing it again with the same hub. It will just pair it as the same device, but could fix the issue.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I removed the device (button said it would also do a zigbee exclude), and re-added as a zigbee manually. It found the sensor again and picked the "Hue Motion Sensor" driver again.

Unfortunately the issue persists.

I’ve seen this happen when the battery voltage is low. Have you tried a brand-new set of batteries?

I think I solved it.

Set the motion sensitivity down to low, and it works as expected.

For future reference, typically removing the devices has no additional value. It would just need to be re-added (without removing it).
