Hey guys, I just bought a few Hue motion sensors V2 to integrate into my room lighting. Those things connected without any problem to the Hubitat as a Zigbee device. That is about as far as I could get for things working as I had hoped.
I easily connected them to a dimmer as a means to activate and deactivate etc. Nothing happens to the dimmer. I checked the logs to see if motion is reported there and it doesn't seem to be. I danced around the room like an idiot to no effect. I tried this with all 3 sensors, and no motion seems to be reported in the logs. When I check under device, it says motion "active" along with the temp and luminance etc.
I did, but just now for some reason, one of my sensors started to work. I then found on this forum where someone mentioned a factory reset, so the other two that were not working, I am going to attempt that for them and see if I can get them to work properly.
I do not know why, but my experience with the Hue motion sensors (particularly thr indoor variety) has been they take a while (a few hours to a day) to become functional (at least when paired directly to hubitat). Hue doesnt care. Their position is it's supposed to be used with their hub. After my initial defective sensor was finally replaced, my hue sensors have been rock solid (though no faster than my Zwave Ring Gen2 motion sensors).
