Hue Lux Threshold

I have an indoor Hue Motion Sensor paired directly to Hubitat. On the device page, there a setting for “Lux Threshold”. What does this driver setting actually do?

I don’t really need Lux values, so I set the Lux Threshold to 500, the maximum, thinking it would reduce the frequency of reporting Lux, but it is still reporting.

I usually just turn off both logging's. That will stop it from being reported, unless you needed it.
