Hubitat won't restart

My Hubitat slowly stopped letting me log in after restarting... Using my web browser and going directly to the IP address, the screen would not load. I would have to restart the unit and than I could get it to load to log in and make changes. Slowly, rebooting the system would and would not work to get back into the unit. The unit still works as I have it configured for use with my Apple home kit but now, I am no longer able to get it to load on my web browser. Even the app just pin wheels trying to find it on the network, nothing. I'm at a loss

The IP address of the hub might have changed. Can you connect to your WiFi, get a netwrok scanning app and see if the hub shows up at a different IP address.

Welcome!

I got my hub in that state once, as somehow a when I put a usb power-bank between my UPS and the Hub, it messed up the UI. Really long reboot times, and spinning UI pages, if any pages at all.

Do you have automatic backups on, or have you backed it up recently? You can do a soft reset and restore the last local backup. All Device connections will remain through a soft reset. That fixed it for me.

Apparently you have not set a DHCP reservation for the hub, and upon restart your router has assigned it a new IP address.

Got to this URL to locate your hub.

https://findmyhub.hubitat.com

Once your hub is located, set a DHCP reservation for the hub's MAC address.

When you say the app, do you mean the web UI? It sounds like it is trying to load the page, and the page is spinning, right, like it found the address but can't load it? Just to determine if your IP changed, or the UI is not loading at the correct address.

Try http://[Your-Hub-IP]:8081. If you get to the diagnostic menu, it is not an IP change. While you are there, do a soft reset, if you have a recent enough backup. You need to type in the MAC from the back of the hub to get into the menu.
