Another thought though, when you first ran the app it should have asked for a bunch of permissions. Did you accidentally deny any? Go to the device settings, scroll down to the apps at bottom, find Hubitat. Make sure all permissions are enabled (especially Local Network).

I would delete both apps, then only install the new one (green background). It should ask you for permissions, make sure you say yes to all of them. Getting closer to a solution. Since it never asked for permissions it could not access the LAN.

Hmm... what iOS version is your phone on? That Local LAN permission was added around maybe 16? Its newer for sure. May be an older iOS is not compatible with the new app.

Show a screenshot of what your permissions look like for the app, should have Local LAN enabled.
