Hubitat Scenes with Google home

I am a new user to hubitat and I guess I am failing to understand some basic principles. Right now I am trying to create light scenes within hubitat and use them via Google Home routines. However my scenes do not show up in google home as an option. I did confirm they work in hubitat by using a tile on a dashboard. I do see my devices in Google Home such as my Phillips Hue Go, however not the scenes.

My guess is that they aren't supposed to show up and I am supposed to setup some sort of virtual switch that will show us as a device and trigger that. However, before going down that route I wanted to ask since I clearly didn't quite "get it" yet.

Many thanks in advance, just looking through this community for answers has already made it obvious how involved / helpful many people are here.

I realized I had not gone to the google home app and selected the new "devices" to share with google home. Howerver, now the scenes show up as "switches" in google home instead of "scenes". Is this expected?

I would give them a try. As far as Google knows they are to be switched on and off so they might as well be switches. Hubitat knows what to do with them. I use Alexa and it works the same way.

They definitely work. The only difference is in the routines where I would normally select a scene I have to turn on a switch. Nothing terrible just wanted to make sure that I was understanding the right way. Especially since I'm just starting out.
