Pretty simple setup - the Hubitat C7 and Konnected Alarm Pro are statically mapped and wired. Recently (best I can tell looking at the Hubitat logs) the contact sensors on the Konnected stopped updating. I checked the Konnected board via the android app and testing using one of the doors. In the Konnected app, it shows the zone and the state of '1' (so its working). If I check the device in Hubitat, it does not show the change (contact: closed). I've rebooted both devices and rerun the tests with the same results (so Konnected is working as expected... but it and Hubitat isn't talking). I checked for updates on both platforms and updated the Hubitat to 2.2.5.120, but there was no change.
Not sure where to go from here - is there a simpler way to "refresh" the connection between the two short of deleting and readding the Konnected devices?
Looking at the Hubitat logs, its "discovering" Konnected devices:
What is the status of the lights on the Konnected Pro board? There should be a yellow for power and a blue for status updates the blue should either be off if no status updates are being sent or flickering if it is sending but it should not be solid which would mean boot failure which the earlier versions of those boards are prone to do, if that happens you have to press the reset button to the left of the lights for a second then wait up to 10 seconds to see the results it should go to yellow light only then after a few seconds to 10 the blue light should flicker but not go solid then it should start working in Hubitat again.
My Pro stopped updating Hubitat yesterday around 10:30am and I noticed around noon when motion sensors weren't turning lights on I went into the Konnected app and it showed all of my boards except the pro as online when I looked at the Pro board physically the blue light was solid so I hit the reset button and after about a minute it started updating Hubitat again and has been fine since.
Thanks for responding, Terk. I have the green power light, and the blue light flashes when a sensor is activated (not constant). If I watch it through the app, the Konnected appears to be fine - responds quickly and reports the correct sensor being tripped.
Thanks @Ogiewon - I gave up on it and deleted the Konnected Pro from Hubitat and re-discovered it. That seems to have fixed the issue. Wasn't too tough to update the Safety Monitor again.
I noticed Hubitat wasn't reporting my KonnectedIO devices properly, but they seemed to be updating in the Konnected app. I deleted Konnected from Hubitat and re-added to the hub. While it found the Konnected device, my Hubitat device list does not show any of the sensors. Then tried going back to square one; deleted Konnected from Hubitat, factory reset Konnected, went through the whole cloud setup, then readded to Hubitat. The re-add to Hubitat finds the Konnected board and ID, but doesn't add devices to my device list, and I can't add them to a dashboard or select in RM or SM
So, my KonnectedIO iOS app was showing things properly, but not in the Hubitat portal. I found this thread, so I tried deleting the KonnectedConnect app from Hubitat and readding. That didn't work, but then I noticed even my KonnectedIO on iOS wasn't showing properly.
Factory reset the Konnected board, resetup the zones, see everything working in the KonnectedIO iOS app, but still not in the Hubitat environment. So deleted from Hubitat and readded again. Noticed the KonnectedIO app looked strange, not reporting on the zones.
Deleted Konnected Connect from Hubitat, THEN reset Konnected board, setup KonnectedIO in iOS and added to Hubitat and all my devices came through and were reporting properly in Hubitat.
I wouldn't think that deleting an app from the Hubitat hub would/could affect the KonnectedIO setup, but that is what I deduced. STILL no idea why Hubitat stopped getting updates from KonnectedIO in the first place.
When I get a new Konnected board I simply get it working via Ethernet or WiFi in the Konnected app then use the Hubitat Konnected app to define what's connected to each zone, I've never setup zones in the Konnected app.
So far the only time I have had an issue was when I bought my first DS18B20 temperature probe a few weeks ago and it wouldn't show up in Hubitat and was showing errors with the Konnected app. Nate fixed the app code the evening I notified them about it.
