I have a TP-Link Tapo Matter Outdoor Smart Plug with 2 outlets. I commissioned it with Google Home which creates two different devices, Outlet 1 and Outlet 2, in their app. I brought the first one into Hubitat and when I tried to do the second I got an error that it already existed.
Hubitat sees a parent device which uses the "Tapo Smart Outdoor Matter Dual Plug" driver and a component device "Tapo Smart Matter Outdoor Dual Plug - Switch 2". If I delete this and add the other outlet it also calls it Switch 2.
So, I can only add one outlet. Regardless of which I add it is labeled as Switch 2. I cannot access both outlets in Hubitat.
Any ideas on what I can try? I don't believe I have any other hardware that can act as a Matter controller to commission it with.

I have the same outlet and it works fine with the parent/child relationship. I just labeled the parent as "X Outlet" and labeled the child as "Y Outlet". They both show up and work as independent switches in RM.
I agree that it's a strange way for the driver to present them, but they work.

Oh man, I didn't realize that's what was going on. Thanks so much for clearing it up. Now I can move on to setting up the lights.

Now that I realize I was an idiot, as an aside this thing seems pretty great for $15.
I was annoyed by the lack of zigbee options for an outdoor outlet but figured it'd be a chance to try out Matter. This one feels well made, is from a decent brand, is cheap, and should work just fine for my needs. I was glad to uninstall my Kasa app when I switched from cloud to zigbee devices, but I have no issue with tp-link products themselves and will happily use them with my setup.

I was excited to find a low-cost smart replacement for my Wyze outdoor (double) plug.
