Hubitat iPhone App Red Number supposed to be notifications? App says none found

I am often seeing a number in a red circle on the icon for my Hubitat app on my iPhone. I'm assuming those are notifications. However, if I go into Tools | Notifications it always says No Notifications Found even though under Tools it says it will show the Last 20 notifications sent to device.

I'm not sure which version of the app I'm using as I can't seem to find the version number anywhere.

Ah. Thank you. I don't know why it was there instead of under "About" like virtually every other software program, but ... In any event I'm using 1.1.2 , build 104.

Because ... Hubitat.

Yea, I get that. I know the UI needs a series overhaul. But, back to the issue at hand, why aren’t the notifications showing up?
