Is there a way to flash the firmware of the C-7? I recently updated to the latest firmware and now none of my zigbee devices work. I tried the reset to the previous version but it doesnt seem to do anything and have left it for a couple of hours but it still remains on the current firmware version (even after a few reboots).
Is there a way to manually flash the firmware? I have tried searching and can't find any way to do this.
How did you do this? You need to use the Diagnostic Tool, as a hub database backup does not contain the platform software, which it sounds like you are asking about. I'm guessing that is what you did instead, but additional information would be helpful if you still have trouble.
I used the diagnostic tool to do a firmware rollback but the firmware version remains the same its not dropping back to the previous version.
I tried to do a full reset too (so no devices paired now) and then to re-add my devices but now i cant add any of them back in.
I was thinking if there is a way to manually flash it to a firmware then i might be able to get the radios working again.
If i try adding devices to another zigbee hub like Philips Hue, the devices work so i know its not my devices, just the hub which seems to be in an odd state.
There is no other way, but the Diagnostic Tool does offer an "Install platform 2.x.x" option under "Advanced" that will restore to a (slightly older) version that is stored separately from all of these. If nothing else is working, you can try that.
If that still doesn't help, it's possible you're dealing with hardware failure. If your hub is new enough to be under warranty, you could try submitting a claim.
I'd also rule out other problems, like a bad cable or power supply.
