I doubt Apple would approve it. They don't even have HomeKit in CarPlay

Exactly! So far they've ignored/resisted requests to get the Home app into car play. Although some device (garage door openers) do show up.

Not entirely correct, when I get within 100m of my house HomeKit pops up my garage door controls on my screen. It looks like this but in my case says garage door and I can open/close it by tapping on it:
Well Apple have Homekit a little bit in CarPlay.... If you hav e a garageportopener it appears as a button when you arrive at home and then you can push it or tell Siri to open the garage. then when you have exit your home it dissapears.... Quite nice!

I know about the garage door opener. I'd hardly call the availability of one device type as, having HomeKit
