Hubitat Elevation - How to Factory Reset?

It may be that the Diagnostic Menu is old.. it auto updates, but maybe the hub hasn't been on long enough to get that update.. there's also a URL to hit that will force it... if only I can stumble upon THAT message, I'll repeat it.

The Diagnostic Tool reports it's own version:

Screen Shot 2020-05-12 at 4.03.20 PM

To get the latest:

Open this URL on your hub: http://{yourHubIP}/hub/cloud/updateDiagnosticTool it will update it.

Hi there, I've updated your community account so you should be able to put images now.

Catching up on the thread...I updated the diag tool as suggested and was able to do a full reset. Looks like I am good now. My friend will be happy. I bought Hubitat to extend some smart vents into HomeKit but I moved to some new vents that have their own hub so I no longer need Hubitat. Thank you!

Emailed support 4 days ago because my hub is missing the hard/factory/ full reset option. Still no response.

The full reset option has been hidden for several platform releases to prevent its accidental use.

Thanks

@bobbyD Why I can't see this menu when try to access the device, the port 80 is not working and the port 8081 only show the ribbon and no menu is showing at all

That's very odd, mind posting a screenshot of what port 8081 shows? I've never seen that one before.

Yes sure,

Is very important, let you know that this is a brand new, I did open the box, and then when tried the setup, did have it

Is it a browser issue? Have you tried any other browser?

Yes, I did, with Ubuntu (Chrome, Brave, Firefox) , MacOS (Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Brave), finnaly with Windows 10 (Chrome, Edge and Firefox) and no luck.

Thanks for the screenshots. It looks like you've had the hub in the box for quite some time, because the Diagnostic Tool has changed a long time ago. If you didn't do so already, please send us an email at support@hubitat.com with your hub's MAC address as well as purchase order details.

Please be sure to refer to case number: 22257.

Hi @bobbyD I did try your instructions, but nothing happens, in fact the port 80/tcp (HTTP) is not open in the C4, just the 443/tcp is open, therefore I can't access any site in the HTTP.

Do yoy have any other idea?

Sorry only the 8081 in HTTP, in fact I found the 22/tcp SSH fitered

@gopher.ny @bobbyD

Hi @bobbyD and @gopher.ny Well, I just taking a little of your time, to ask you, about this case, and the possibility to make it work.

If not, if I have a chance to buy a new one, and if you receive me it as part of pay?

I just wanna know what options do I have.

TY in advance!
