So, I was poking around the settings and came across this page:

A few questions:

1. 64m? Does this mean megabytes?

2. What's a good number to be at?

3. What's the best way to bring down this number? Is it all about the device histories?

Mine was saying something similiar, but it's only 1.5 meg, so I dunno what it means either. I had hoped there would be an answer in here.

That's interesting, because all of my automations are in Webcore, although I recently created several groups in HE that I used to have in Alexa (basically giving easier names to some devices). It would be nice to know what contributes to this file size, and what the limit is.

Most of my automations are in Node Red.

The portion of the db size 'you control' is the max number of event and states.

You can lower these (in latest firmware) see:

HE console -> Alerts

or

UI to set max device states and events?

From the release notes "Added large database detection and UI to set max device states and events." My eyesight isn't what it used to be, but I can't see this "UI" anywhere? Presume it's somewhere that you can globally set maximums for all existing devices, as opposed to having to edit them all individually?

The running db size is larger than the backup file size...
