I just spent $40 on two double shielded cables running from a Sonos Connect (Gen 1) to two KRK Rokit speakers, in an attempt to stop the fairly frequently occurring static. The static persists. I found dozens of threads reporting static issues with their Sonos connect. I have a similar setup in another room and it also has a lot of static. I am so sick of Sonos! Their speakers sound very good, but their software is horrible. I have a button (The Elvis Button) that made for my wife which plays a Sonos favorite when pressed, and it stopped working. I found another known bug with the Sonos software where the queue fills up to a ridiculous amount. In my case there were over 40,000 songs in the queue! Which was just cleared days before. I've had other issues with Sonos over the years but I'm ready to move on, rather than pay $1,400 for two new Sonos amplifiers.
Are there any alternatives to Sonos which Hubitat can control the music player? If not I guess I'm stuck with Sonos.
