hubitat c7 getting server error and wont let me do backup and restore. soft restore didnt fix problems
Cloud you please send me a private message along with your hub MAC address so we can further investigate?
I sent reply to the email that you had used to contact me, but it wont go through.
anyway hopefully this will get to you.
my c7 hub's mac address is as follows: 34E1D1813C3E
Showing all types of errors including corrupt database, unable to connect to server, error 500 etc..
Please try this endpoint if soft reset from diagnostics tool doesn't work:
http://hubs.ip.address.here/hub/softResetNow?mac=PUT_REAL_MAC_ADDRESS_HERE
It should say "success, rebooting hub now", and hub light should change from green to red to blue to green again. Once it's green again, it should show a "getting started" page.
I think you have tried to reply to the email you've received for the notification of my post, from the community. Reply by email is not enabled on all categories. Please try @gopher.ny suggestion above.
i got the message
"success, rebooting hub now"
but it doesn't seem to be doing anything, just blue light on.
tried it again, now it seems to be doing it,
ill let you know how it goes
seems to have done the trick. thanks for your help, however it removed all previous programming. not a problem at this point as i hadnt done to much. however moving forward once full programmed and something like this happens again are there any prodedures to be able to recover and reinstall the programming?
You should be able to restore from a backup, with some created automatically.
Check out Settings - Backup and restore, there should be some listed there.
Thanks, hopefully this was a freak thing and it wont happen again.
You should edit your post to remove that MAC address.
