Google Home Version: 3.35.55.0
Android Version: 16
Phone Model: Pixel 9 Pro XL
I'm unsure if this is a Google Home issue or Hubitat. I am unable to re-link Hubitat in my google home app, but when I attempt to re-link the hubitat application, it no longer appears as an option in the "Works with Google Home" option. Searching for Hubitat also doesn't have it come up. It's still linked to my devices from before this happened, so google can still control my lights that have already been set up. I'm not sure why it doesn't appear anymore.
How did it go missing in the first place? Did you delete the service on the google side? Or, did it just disapear?
Did you try telling google to sync devices?
This sounds 100% like a google issue. Maybe add a new device to the Hubitat app side, and then try syncing devices.
I would almost suggest deleting the app in Hubitat and starting from scratch (AFTER screenshotting your setup). But, with it not showing in Google Home, I would be reluctant to do that for fear of losing control of the devices that ARE working.
After sitting down and remaking the Google home, there was still "ghost devices" linked to my account, and despite me removing access to hubitat in myaccount.google.com, they still persisted.
Then I accidentally clicked something in the device setup and was able to unlink Hubitat and relink it.
After setting everything up again, I was curious if hubitat would show up now. It did not, but I found out why... And it's definitely Google Home messing up.
Apparently for some reason, the first item in the linked account list is above where you can see and change it. It's still there but, you can't easily see it, but if you press near the top where you would think nothing is, you can hit the button for the app.
Just wondering if you have adjusted font scaling on your phone. That has caused me issues in the past with how some apps render the screen. My current (Google) Home app shows Hubitat just fine.
If not, you might also try force stopping the Google Home App, then Clear CACHE in the storage section (I would NOT clear DATA)
I've cleared the cache for Google Home: No change
I've cleared all data from Google Home: No change
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Google Home a few times: No change
Created an entire new house and re-set up everything: Still does not show in a place I can see it, Latest screenshot I took just now above.
With slightly bigger scaling, it has a big enough "hitbox" for me to at least activate it, if I click slightly below home control. Very odd. Didn't have this issue about 6 months ago on the same device.
Updated to the July 5th, 2025 update for Pixel 9 and still no change.
That is really odd. I checked both my and my wife's phones and tablets. Working normally on all 4 devices. (all are Samsung Galaxy Series which might also matter)
Edited to add, another thought...... What browser do you have set as default? I do have issues with my Hubitat shortcuts that I made to specific dashboards sometimes opening with the top cropped off or sometimes cropping the top when I refresh. I had Vivaldi as my default browser and my settings were to always use desktop mode. This occured in the main app also. Turns out that apps on your phone will use your "default" browser as the engine for displaying content in the apps. So, when I open the actual Hubitat App, it was trying to open in desktop mode (which my phone did not like)
