Running 2.3.6, same bug exists in 2.3.5
When updating Hub Variable names with a variable connector, while the variable name is updated, and the variable connector device name is updated, the actual connector device state variable is not updated and the link is then broken.
Additionally, the RENAME function only becomes available when you assign the variable to an app, but it doesn't recognize when the connector is assigned to a dashboard. This is a lesser issue, it would be nice to be able to rename the variable whether or not the variable has been used.
The series of photos demonstrate the problem, using a number variable "TestVariable" with an initial value of 1 which is renamed to "Renamed Test Variable".
When the variable value is updated to 50 through the variable connector on a dashboard, the dashboard and the variable connector device show the updated value, however the variable itself still shows 1.
The only places that indicate the variable link is broken is under the variable connector device which shows "State Variables" with the original name, and the device page which has the original variable name in light gray below the variable connector device.
I am unable to find a work around to update the connector link. When I delete the variable connector device, the hub variable still shows a connected device which I am unable to remove. When I then click on the connector device (from the Hub Variable page) it takes me to an error.
