When using the Android app if I set a Hub Variable filter, the filter doesn't become active until I do something with a variable. It can be renaming, adding a Connector or changing a value. Until I perform one of those actions, the Hub Variable list is not filtered.
Is this normal or a problem in my app?
@Hubitat_Staff is this normal?
How long did you wait? A second or two after typing, the list should filter; but clicking out of the search field (a blank area on the page works, but clicking to rename or change a value, as you are, would do it too) will make it happen instantly.
If that's not what you're seeing: what OS and browser combination are you using? Does it work the same in another?
I wait for more than 10 seconds. Normally when the display takes some time to respond there is a spinner in the top right corner. When I type in a filter value there is no Enter button so I select an open area. The spinner doesn't respond until I select a variable name or value. Then the spinner starts immediately.
I'm using Chrome on a Pixel 9 running Android 16. It's the same using Chrome on a Pixel tablet also running Android 16.
Just tried Edge on my phone and got the same result.
Just tried Firefox. It worked as expected.
This means it's a Chrome issue. Could be in combination with Android 16. Have to resurrect an old device that's not on Android 16 to test
Tried on a Pixel6a running Android 15. The same result, no update until I click on a link. Then the spinner starts. So it appears to be a Chrome issue.
One other thing, when I back space to clear the filter or use the Clear button the spinner starts and the update is almost immediate.
