Since 2 hours we are trying to get yeelight bulb to be discovered but it doesnot do anything.
We have removed yeelight app, rebooted hub, reinstalled app and tried to wait for 30mins but still nothing.
Aqara motion sensor and wall switch is also not being detected in zigbee.
It is very frustrating beause zwave devices are all working fine and discovered.
@yusuf.mats In the Yeelight App have you enabled the Lan Control for each light?
Yes I have enabled the LAN Control.
In the app you have to do these steps:
Ok maybe it is step 5.
- Click on the bulb text or bulb icon
- Bottom right corner click on symbol that looks like a triangle with a line under it
- Bottom right click on the "Lan Control"
- Up at the top is a slider, turn it on
- At the bottom of that same page there is a blue link "Third Party Control Protocol", click on that
- Arrow back to list of lights and repeat for each
Then rerun Yeelight App to Discover
Yes I have followed this steps and also clicked on Third Party Control Protocal and back, but nothing changes.
Usually how long does it take for the yeelight integration app to discover the bulb ?
It can take up to 5 minutes but usually it is fairly quick. How far away are they from your router?
It is 10-12 feet away from the hub and router.
Do you have just the one bulb or multiple? If you have more than one it is better to do them one at a time. If you have just the one then you can try this. I had to do this more than once. Sorry but it is the only way I got them to work. Once there in HE they are very reliable.
- You will need to remove the bulb(s) from the app
-
Start with bulb off. Reset the bulb(s) by turning it on for 2 sec. and off for 2 sec and repeat that 5 times. On the 5th On leave it on. The bulb should show an on/off 3 times I believe
- Add the bulb back into the app and go through the steps above
Tried but still the same. Will try few more times and check.
Just curious to know, is the yeelight integration app on HE is a problem or the bulb itself.
Because I can see the yeelight has open API.
Thanks
You can try removing the app from HE and re-install it but I am not sure if there has been any problems with the app since the new upgrades.
The lights can be stubborn but maybe uninstall/install app and start fresh from there. Maybe someone else is having problems and can confirm either way.
This is all I know to do.
I have reinstalled several times and I am not sure how to solve this. I had bought 1 bulb and I guess I am not gonna go for more.
Would you suggest any smart color bulbs with 220v that work seamlessly with HE?
I personally do not use 220V bulbs but there are a lot of people who do that might chime in to help.
Also you might contact support to see if they can figure out why this bulb is not integrating into HE.
