Actually, firmware updates that result in breaking changes are exceedingly rare on this platform.
Equally, a firmware update I expect should not reflect in any way on HE... given the firmware is produced by the manufacturer... unless I'm misunderstanding something...
That’s a tribute to all of the unsung hard work by staff and beta testers prior to each release.
I thought it was my expert advice....

Sure we do. What is it?
It would be beneficial if you could organize your thoughts.
Bluntly, Hubitat pays to host and maintain this community site. So I kind of feel it behooves us (as users of this site) to limit our tangentiality, no matter how attractive it may be, or natural it may feel.
I hope you will accept this note in the same spirit of congeniality it is offered.
I encourage you to reach out to a guy named JDRoberts on the SmartThings forum. He's probably one of the most prolific and helpful posters there. He's also a person with physical challenges. He would be a good resource for figuring out how to make consumer level smart devices work effectively for people with challenges.
That’s a lot of words for someone who didn’t read the T&C
2.3.4.153 ALSO breaks Hub Mesh !! No notes in the release about that!!
Running hub mesh just fine here on .153
Not here, it also fried one of my GE 14291 switches. I did get the Sengled Color Bulbs on-line.
Well a hub update is not going to fry a physical switch. With the GE switches it's likely the cap (well known with those switches and likely dumped as a coincidence) One of the reasons ge/jasco gave extended warranties on those switches. That said, if you got your sengled's meshed, that means mesh is working.
Also curious to know how a hub firmware update could fry a switch.
ANSWER: It can't
I think you are mistaken about the cause of these various problems.
2.3.5 no longer breaks the mesh while you still have in older version on the older hubs !! I still have 2.3.4.153 and 2.3.5.103 and it works fine until I upgrade the second one. I installed a Zooz Zen76 ti replace the now dead GE switch. The hub was sending a signal and it locked up the switch. It would not even factory reset. I think it was stuck in include mode by the sudden flashing blue lights. I was hoping shutting power off might reset the radio. I had to remove it. Unfortunately, as I was about to put the plate back on I stepped on it. Off to Home Depot, I do not have spare triple gang plates.
get two - they are cheap.
Plates or hubs, I replaced the plate hours ago. I was busy. One curious note, I had no idea the ZEN76 switch reported temperature. That was a surprise. The notes on the outside if the box were more useful than the manual. You can not make the switch flash like some but it does have some other fancy features. I need the additional distance most. I use zigbee for my sensors,
