Hub Mesh distance

I'm setting up some Halloween automation that is at the end of my driveway a good distance from the house. Numerous smart plugs, bulbs, etc. I have 2 hubs - with Hub 1 running most my house, but most the Halloween devices registered on Hub 2.

Can someone confirm that Hub Mesh runs over my LAN network.. So that if i temporarily place Hub 2 very far from Hub 1 at the end of my driveway near the other devices - using a very long Cat 6e cable - that it will still be able to communicate with Hub 1 back in my house so it can play my sonos and other devices?

Most these devices are Zigbee - so I also understand that if I leave the hub powered off for 20 minutes after I move it, it will rebuild the Zigbee network...

Yes, I can confirm it does. Cat6 has distance limitations but as long as you have a solid network connection and both hubs are on the same network (as in the same /24 subnet) hub mesh should work fine, though occasionally I have seen people report challenges with meshed wifi networks.

It may take a while for your zigbee mesh to rebuild though - others will probably weigh in with more expertise than I.
