I have had a Hubitat C7 since mid 2022. It is now stuck at "Initializing Hub: 15% - updating database". I have found several other topics like this on here which have always had a happy ending after performing a Soft Reset. I have done many Soft Resets and it always come back to the same screen. I am currently at 2.3.8.140 but I have tried going back to 2.3.8.139 and then ahead to 2.3.8.140 again and doing another Soft Reset after each attempt.
Does anyone have any other ideas I can try? Do I need to resort to trying the "Full reset"? I did save off several backups before I did my first Soft Reset. Will they be able to restore everything including my connected devices if I perform a "Full reset"?
Don't do that whatever you do. That erases things permanently, specifically the Zigbee and Z-wave radios. You would have to start over again if you do that!
I don't have any good advice for your situation, but I will tag @bobbyD and hopefully he will see this tomorrow morning.
This sounds like a hardware malfunction. Since you are a Hub Protect subscriber, I recommend creating a case, if you didn't already, to get a replacement: Subscriptions – Hubitat Support
Thanks for the suggestion, but I am getting a little frustrated now. I have filled out that form twice now and both times it told me my submission had been received and that someone would get back to me. But, after a week since the first one I still have not received an email from the company. Is there an email address I can try for Subscription Support or something else? I can't seem to find anything on their web site.
