Hub C-7 unreachable, no LED/IP after power cycle - dead unit?

I'm posting here in the community because I unfortunately never received a response to the support request I submitted via the Hubitat Support Portal. It's quite frustrating to not hear back regarding platform issues, as we rely on these devices and expect prompt support.

I'm hoping someone in the community might be able to help or share similar experiences.

Device Details:

  • Platform version: 2.5.1.183

  • Hardware version: C-7

  • Last check-in: 10/18/2026 - 12:15:33

The Issue: On the morning of October 18th, I noticed some of my home automations weren't working. Upon checking, I realized my hub was no longer accessible on the network. Suspecting the device had frozen, I power-cycled it.

After powering it back on, the LED started blinking, but I still couldn't access the hub. Within 2–3 minutes, the blinking stopped, and I was unable to access the recovery menu either.

Even now, whenever I plug the device in, the network port lights up, but there are no IP assignments (I have a fixed IP assigned via DHCP) and no LED indications at all.

Do you think the device hardware has failed? Has anyone else experienced something similar, or is there any other troubleshooting step I should try?

What was the LED color?

Try a new power supply. If that doesn't work, everything points at hardware failure.

The hub has a 90-day warranty period. If you are within that period, you can submit a warranty claim here:

If you have a Hub Protect extended warranty subscription, you can submit a claim here:

I didn't check for long. I think it started with blue. Once the LED started, I simply moved away from the device.

I know, but I expected at least a response from the support team.

I bought the C-8 Pro (because I coudn't wait), which arrived today. I have an old .lzf backup file and hope it includes my Zigbee device details and supports data migration.
