HTTP vs HTTPS on the iOS app

When I use my PC browser to connect to the Hubitat C7, all good. When I use the Hubitat app on my iPad Air, I get this for "add device" + link. A hassle to run all over the house to add a device.

Is this a hub setting or an iPad safari setting to allow.

Never mind - was a default Safari app setting in iPad.

Per google:
To fix the Hubitat navigation error on iOS 26+ caused by HTTPS-Only mode, you must disable the "Warning Before Unsecured Connection" setting in Safari. Go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Privacy & Security and disable "Not Secure" Connection Warning . This setting often acts as a block on local IP addresses, causing the error in the Hubitat

Is there a reason you're using the mobile app instead of the web interface for this? (You can get to the interface from the app, but if this is what you're doing, the app is just getting in the way.)

That being said, I'm not sure why this should actually be a problem, so that's interesting. I'm not sure if I'd trust your AI result (seems like that might apply to all sites, nothing about local IPs?), but I suppose if you've found a workaround...

Failed out both ways. After allowing “not secure” in safari app settings, both the app and browser are fully functional. New “feature” in iOS 26.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Started 2 weeks ago as a Hubitat rookie, now near 30 devices working perfectly. Reading the community notes has given me plenty of new ideas on things I can do. Such as motion sensors and light dimmers with day night settings. It’s just a world of possibility. Glad I’m here.
