So I woke up yesterday to my dashboard HSM tile requiring a PIN in order to change the HSM status. I've never had this before i did do an update probably the day before that but never noticed anything different with the dashboards on that day. Anyway, I spent the day trying to figure it out and it looks like everything in the Forum on this is mostly 2019-2022 and here it is 2026 and I'm feeling like Rip Van Winkle. I wasn't able to solve anything but I did manage to make something worse. I thought it might have something to do with a dashboard PIN so I created one of those and discovered that they are two totally different things and now I can't get rid of the dashboard PIN either. Any help is a greatly appreciated! @bobbyD
If you have recently made changes to that dashboard, it is possible the pin got set inadvertently. I have had mine try to add a pin when adding new devices to the dasboard.
To check, go to Apps -> Dashboards -> {the dashboard in question}
Then scroll down and expand the "Advanced" section.
You should see a block for "require a numerical pin to be entered before sending an HSM command"
You should be able to delete the pin there if it has one.
