HSM / Nyckelharpa notifications question. Android 10 notifications

Okay so I set up HSM / Nyckelharpa including setting my phone as a notification / Text Alerts. I get alerts in my Hubitat app, but I was thinking these should actually come in as SMS text messages.

My question is then, how can I set it up so that I get actual text alerts once an alarm is triggered?

Looking at the docs page at Hubitat Safety Monitor - Hubitat Documentation there appears to have at one time been the option to input a phone # to recieve SMS messages, but that option is not in my UI.

I am thinking maybe set something up within IFTTT?

The sms option was removed some time ago and replaced with app notifications.
But help me understand why the HE app notification is not meeting your needs

Text / SMS pops up, demands attention. App notifies in the background and can be far too easily missed along wtih several dozen other app notifications. If HSM has been triggered, particularly in away mode, I want to know NOW, not when I dig into the app and drill through 4 click later.

Is this something I can change in the behavior of the Android app?

I would look into your Android notification settings for the app, and make sure you have it set as a Priority Notification.

They moved my cheese, but I found it.

For those needing this info. For Android 10 at least.

Pull down the top screen, tap the settings gear.
Scroll down to and tap Apps
Scroll down to and tap Hubitat
On the Hubitat App Info page, scroll down to, and tap into notifications. Make sure Show Notifications is turned on, and tap into Miscellaneous.
Under Miscellaneous, Turn on Alert, check Show as pop-up,
Drill into and select an attention getting sound. I picked "Scream", I keep my phone volume up pretty high so that WILL get attention.
Turn on Vibrate, Blink LIght, and App icon badges.
Enable Show content on Lock screen, and Ignore Do not disturb.
Then tap all the way back out, you are done.

This results in when a notification is recieved from Hubitat, my phone vibrates, flashes, the alert is shown on my lock screen, and a screaming woman is heard from my phone.

If I don't notice this, I wouldn't notice if you were beating me in the forehead with the phone itself, so I figure I am good here.

Sorry about flagging my own post as a solution. Y'all pointd me the right way, I just wanted the process I documented pointed as the actual solution.

All good. Prefer the full documentation be highlighted.

That should be fun on a dinner date with my wife if my brother in law comes in and forgets to disarm the system. (Long story, we have a disabled in law that is part of our household).

Staring deeply into my wifes eyes, talking about our weekend plans, when "eeeek!"

If any of y'all have the solution for other versions of Android, or IOS, please post that here as well. I want folks to be as well documented as possible...
