I’ve upgraded to the latest version of Hubitat 2.5.0.159
I installed HPM via the Bundle zip, but when I try to do a simple search, I get this error:
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target on line 474 (method prefInstallRepositorySearchResults)
Bit.Ly announced that they were going to change their terms of service. Shocking I know, we’ve never encountered THAT kind of thing before. I started seeing issues with the original short URL and created my own within ‘HubitatCommunity.com’. There’s no difference in the result, just no advertising with mine that can confuse a hub.
In that sense, there’s no ‘old URL’ for the bundle, because Dominic never created a Bundle. The actual URL for the bundle hasn’t changed, there is the Bit.Ly version of the short URL and a few months ago I created this new short URL.
After removing the previous App, App Code, and Bundle (tried this a few times before), it worked with the above link from csteele. So seems like the bit.ly link I used might be referencing old code? I noticed the FastMatch also went much quicker with the above link - I didn’t even see the list being generated before it showed me the possible matches.
Not exactly… Bit.Ly announced a change a year or so ago. I remember reading it and saying to myself… “an Automation (aka the Hub) isn’t going to navigate that…” and built my own URL Shortener, deploying it on our HubitatCommunity website. No ads will ever be found there.
The Bit.Ly URL still points to the right spot, last I checked, when I pasted into a regular browser. It gave me the same ZIP (Bundle) but I thought it displayed something, and then did the download fully in the background… can’t remember precisely. The hub’s not going to like that.
