@davethomaspilot You can try my new driver here that will allow you to choose how to create child devices. It's a much simpler design where child devices are optional. You always set the color on the main RGBW device and the child devices are only dimmers.
I've found this pattern to be much more useful, I have 6 RGBW devices (Fibaro RGBW and Zooz Zen31).
