How to troubleshoot YALE YRD256 lock stuck initializing c8Pro, worked on c5

I have 2 Yale YRD256 locks that had worked on C5. I had migrated to c7, then c8, now c8Pro and I could never get the locks to work beyond C5.

I have factory reset and excluded / included many times within 3 ft.

I get z-wave initializing message then timeout. See this in log: Z-Wave Inclusion timed out, status:7

In z-wave details i see SECURE_KEYPAD_DOOR_LOCK with no associated device, just discover button.

Any ideas on how to proceed next??

How is the discovery button on the z-wave details page to be used?
