I am guessing that unnecessarily restoring the z-wave cloud backup is what blanked out your z-wave. It seems like whatever backup you are using does not have the z-wave part. First I would download all your local backups to your PC for safe keeping. This is in case the hub makes more and purges the older good ones you may want. Also turn off the automatic cloud backups so no more get made on accident while hub is non functional.
Have you tried using older cloud backups? If you can use an older backup to get the z-wave back you could then restore a newer local backup (or cloud but only do the database) to get your most recent hub database back.
If no cloud backups will work, maybe your z-wave radio is having some sort of malfunction.
