I am trying to build a text box tile on the dashboard and need to space the text on separate lines. Is there. way to add a character like or to make the text go to the next line? I can't seem to fond a way other than adding additional characters which fouls up the spacing depending on the tile width.

No I'm not sure how to do that???
Sorry I updated as it hid the tag.
I tried embedding that sequence and it didn't produce the desired results. They just show actual sequence in the text unlike this forum that seems to interpret the html characters LOL
Have you looked at SuperTile app to do this?
Makes it easier and will allow HTML if you swap <> for {}.
I looked at supertile but haven't jumped into that at this point. I just figured that there was an easy way to do this in a regular text tile...

Not that easy any more as HTML tags are stripped (as you found).
But you can accomplish all sorts with SuperTiles.
