Hi
I had problem with this Schlage lock.
I solved secure code and fill in 5 digits which makes move on.
Found a Z wave device with ID 6 and initializing but never stop initializing.
I checked Z wave detail it show ID 6 but does not have name with "discover"
How can I discover the device and to do work.
Also
ID 1 is showed this picture.
I don't like how can I exclude.
I did exclude and reset.
still there.
Device 1 is your hub, so it's perfectly fine to be there (and I hope you end up liking it).
For the lock, which I presume is node 6, there are a few things you could try. You could try clicking "Discover" and putting the lock in pairing mode again--it might bring the device to life on Hubitat. However, I'm not sure how well that works with secure devices like this one. You might have to do a general Z-Wave Exclusion (from either the "Z-Wave Exclude" button at the top of this page or the "Start Z-Wave Exclusion" button when you go to pair a device--both do the same thing) while putting the lock in exclusion mode, then trying an inclusion again. You should eventually get a "Remove" button for node 6 that you can use to clear out the radio if that doesn't get removed on its own.
I haven't seen people have to do this workaround in a while (it seems to have been fixed with one of the recent hub/radio firmware updates), but you could also do a shutdown (Settings > Shutdown--never just pull power from the hub), leave the hub off for 20+ seconds, then start it back up. This should restart the Z-Wave radio, which was an occasional source of problems in the past. Even now, it can't hurt to try this once if you want.
Finally, for locks, some people have needed to move the hub close to the lock to facilitate pairing (you may need a long Ethernet cable or "Wi-Fi to wired bridge"-type thing). However, based on the fact that your device says it supports "S2 Access Control," my guess is that you have one of the new Z-Wave Plus Schlage locks, which I haven't heard of people needing to use this trick for (though I'm not sure if they're quite as widespread as the "classic" Z-Wave Schlage locks, so it could be just that no one has mentioned it here yet). This usually isn't necessary for most devices except pre-Plus Z-Wave, but it can't hurt to try. (Actually, it can if your network doesn't have enough repeaters and the device is too far away from the hub: it will stop working when everything gets moved back into place. That's something else you could look into.)
I have the same problem that GTNY has except mine is not with a Schlage lock. I have a GE/Jasco Enbrighten Z-Wave Dimmer, part number 47194. I have tried everything that berabcd1234 had suggested but nothing resolved the problem. Was this problem ever solved for GTNY?
My problem has been resolved. When I was including the dimmer in the Z-Wave network, I lost my internet connection and the dimmer was only partially initialized and stuck in some undefined mode. I could not fully initialize the dimmer and I could not exclude it from the Z-Wave network. By hitting Refresh several times, I got a button to Remove the dimmer from my Z-Wave network. Once removed, I reset the dimmer to factory condition and then included the dimmer into my Z-Wave network.
