How to create dashboard button for particular setting of Inovelli Light Strip, LZW45?

I'm just about finishing it up. I created 2 virtual devices, Light Strip White and White Strip Blue. The problem I was having is that if I turned on one of the virtual dimmers it didn't turn off the other one in the Dashboard. So I created a variable, LightSwitchWhoFrom, that got set to White or Blue depending on which one I turn on. Besides setting the color and level the rule also turned off the other virtual switch. In the Off rule for each virtual switch off I test the variable. If I'm turning off the White light and the variable is White then I turn off the real light. If not, I do nothing. And, of course, vice versa.

For some reason, even though I created the virtual devices as dimmers and used the dimmer template in my dashboard I can't dim them from the virtual devices. To get around that I had to leave the real dimmer in my dashboard using the dimmer template. Since I might use the tile for the "real" light strip to turn it off I create a 5th rule that when I turn off the real light strip it sets the variable to Gornish* and also turns off both virtual devices.

*"Gornish", (which really should have been spelt as "gurnisht" or "gornisht", but the "t" is virtually silent ) means "nothing".

I've put in screenshots of the rules below.

But do you know why the dimmer sliders on the virtual switches aren't working? I was thinking it was because I set a level when I set the color. But, I have to set the level there. I tried leaving the level blank, thinking it would turn on to whatever it was last set to, but that didn't work. It just wouldn't come on if no level was set. But the dimmer tile for the real light strip does dim them. Hmmmm.

One note about the screen shots: Don't be confused by the rules showing the current state of the device of the variable or the device. For example, in the "Light Strip White On" rule it shows for the trigger:
Kitchen Light Strip White (off) turns on. The "(off)" means it the device was off when I did the screenshot. So ignore that when reading the rule.

White On:

White Off:

Blue On:

Blue Off:

"Real" Light Strip Off:

Soinss like you made a virtual dimmer? Why not make a virtual button device, then a rule or button controller that responds to, say button 1 pushed on that virtual button, and manipulates your light strip as expected? Then you can use the "Button" template on the Dashboard for that button there and specify "1" (or whatever number you used) as the button number to virtually "pushed."

Also, based on your comments in another thread, I'd make sure that thrnxommanss you need to make this work really do work--"Set Color" in this case, most likely. Try that directly from the lightstrip device page if you haven't already; if that doesn't work, no app (or Dashboard template) will either if it uses these commands.
