How to add a GE ConnectPlus for appliances?

I just moved from a Wink hub and getting to the last devices I can't figure out how to move over.

I have a GE ConnectPlus connected to a refrigerator. I had rules setup in Wink to send alerts if the fridge or freezer temp dropped for too long or if the doors were left open.

Is there any way to add this to Hubitat?

In Wink it required connecting your GE Appliances login to the Wink hub. And its a general purpose device that seems to plug into a lot of their appliances.

I don't think there is an app/driver written for this, at least not a public one that I have found.

I would definitely be interested myself if someone did come up with an integration. I have a GE refrigerator and range, and a Miele dishwasher that I would also like to be able to connect.

Same here, refrigerator, washer, dryer; I have looked, there doesn’t seem to be anything, just a short dead thread on the SmartThings forum.

Not that it answers the question, but the Hue motion sensor I put in my refrigerator freezer in a plastic bag a couple weeks ago is holding up fine. I'm only using it for temperature, but, I know it also does Lux just fine. So, I don't see why you couldn't set up a simple rule to do a notification if the Lux is 1 or greater. I just did and it works. Simple and thanks for the idea!

I had to create a virtual switch because Lux isn't on the dropdown in the Notifications app. Give me a notification/text if door is open for more than a minute. This is in addition to a notification if the freezer temperature exceeds 15F.

The freezer on my side by side seems to warm up pretty quickly, so I don't know if the door open is necessary, but it can't hurt.

Good point, I was thinking of what sensors I have used lying around and didn't realize the hue ones have temperature. I just got a Hue Outdoor Sensor earlier today which is weather proof. I don't see any of my hue motion sensors showing up in Hubitat, only the hub and lights. How do you setup a hue motion sensor in hubitat? I just got the hubitat a couple days ago and am figuring a lot of it out transferring all my devices from a Wink hub. I have the Hue app installed.

I don't know what the Hue app is, but there is a in-the-box Hue Motion Sensor device driver in the dropdown.

Cool thanks, I'll play around with it. I haven't used Virtual Devices yet. I pulled in all my Hue bulbs as devices by installing the built-in Hue Bridge Integration app but that doesn't show the motion sensors as devices.

Hue motion sensors can be paired directly to your Hubitat hub. Hue doesn’t expose sensors outside the Hue ecosystem, so there’s no way to integrate them into another platform while they’re paired to the Hue Hub.

I would move any Hue motion sensors you have over to Hubitat. You’ll be able to do a lot more with them that way.

Yea, I'm thinking about that now that I know that's possible. I have a large Hue system with about 9 Hue sensors and about 20 bulbs that is setup independently with Hue Taps as well that all works great on its own. But I can control individual lights from Hubitat and all my switches and track lighting are running on sensors on the hubitat hub now. I do use the hue sensor setups for different day/night scenes that will take longer to replicate especially setting custom colors. I'm still trying to figure out how to set custom colors in Hubitat without a color wheel. Lots of little things I'm still working out moving over to Hubitat.

If you use CocoHue instead of the built in Hue Integration you can expose your Hue scenes and groups in Hubitat. Then you don’t have to rebuild them.

Cool, thanks. I'll check that out.
