How do I assign buttons on a Pico?

I know this is probably a dumb question but I'm still learning about HE...

I assigned the Lutron Pico driver to one of my Pico remotes. I want to change what each button does. On the device's page in HE, I see I can push buttons virtually, but I don't see where I can assign them. Is there a way to do this with the standard Lutron integration?

I had installed the ABC app, but I couldn't get it to work. In the ABC app, I tried for instance to assign commands for push and hold, then saved, but the Pico would still behave in its default manner.

Thank you.

Use Rule Machine, create a trigger using Button Device.

You setup button devices in Rule Machine by using "Button Device" as your trigger event.

Can't get this to work. I used Rule Machine as suggested.

A physical press of button 1 on the pico is still only controlling lights in the family room even though I'm using Rule Machine to turn on lights in the dining room.

In the HE dashboard, a virtual press of button 1 does turn on the dining room.

Duh. I’ll try that. Thank you sir.

Sorry could you be more specific? I'm not able to get this to work.

In the Lutron app, I clicked on the Pico and unchecked the lights (dimmer) it was associated to. That's seems to be the only obvious way to "unpair" it.

Still having the same problem in HE. It takes my commands virtually through the HE GUI, but doesn't respond to physical taps.

Problem solved. @btjohnston76 is correct that you need to remove the Pico's association in the Lutron app, but I was also using the wrong device code in HE. I was using Q; needed to change it over to P (since I opted to use the push/held functionality and different driver.)

And also had to remove the old Q device from the HE devices list, since a duplicate was created when I changed the Pico device code in the Lutron Integration app in HE.
