How do I add RTSP feed to Hubitat Dashboard

I was able to add the RTSP camera to my devices, but how the heck to I get it on the Dashboard? is there any instructions on how to do this, I dont see any templates that are showing camera or video or anything that seems streight foward, is there any FAQ’s or documentation that I cant seem to find that exists?

Which Dashboards are you talking about. If it is EZ Dashboards just add the device and it should work. You can only do 3 at a time and be careful with the resolution you send as it will impact the CPU

I don’t like EZ Dashboards, I am using a regular dash, it shows up as a device, but not a template. not sure why this is not streight foward, or is it EZ only, if so, it was not stated in the OP.

For legacy dashboards, use an endpoint like this:

http://myHub.ip.address/hub2/videoStream/deviceId.mjpg

Replace my hub IP address and deviceId placeholders with your local values.

@bobby- Is it possible to update the info in the RTSP created device to give users more data to know what is needed for EZ versus Legacy Dashboard? Maybe update the image URL with the full URL after information is entered in the device ID? Then a small note- for legacy dashboard etc?
I'm just tryin to make it easy for the masses.

Beyond telling someone to take the Image URL and plug it into the Image Template what do you think is needed?

While i agree that its pretty basic set up. Just trying to remove ANY barrier to entry.
EZ dashboard is relative- Add the device- done
Legacy dashboard - Add the image URL - done

A new template for RTSP device would make this easier as well. I have the device, add it to the dashboard with the NEW RTSP template and then it auto populates the image data from the device.

It should be

Pick a device: The Camera

Pick a Template : RTSP Device

that is it. having a user type somethign in that should just be able to be selected makes it usable for the average user, typing in a whole string is not what you want to do if you have a few cameras that you want on a few different dash boards.

Sorry, my Photoshop skills are Nill. but thats it.. just like every other device that exists. pick it, pick the template, profit!
