I thought I would be able to share these with my family members, so they can access them from their mobile app. I had them create an account on my_hubitat_com, added their email as a guest user at my_hubitat_com/hubs and had them install the mobile app.
Now they can see the dashboard that I set up in their mobile app, but when they try to open it, they get a user name/password prompt and their my_hubitat_com logon does not work. Perhaps that is because I have hub security turned on and they could only logon with my local admin account. We didn't try that.
But if I can't have my family members use the dashboards I create, what is their use case?
Yes, that is the reason. This is on the to-do list, but cloud access does not have this issue in the meantime. (And what it's asking for is your hub login security, unrelated to any my.hubitat.com account.)
For now, using the cloud link is one solution. This is accessible from the cloud icon next to the dashboard on the "Dashboards" page. If you need local access without this issue, an "old" Hubitat Dashboard would also work. Neither requires the mobile app -- you can just use a link to the LAN or cloud Dashboard page, though the app can certainly work as well. If you aren't trying to restrict access, the "Devices" tab in the mobile app is another option. And if you are, the mobile app probably isn't the best solution in the first place since it gives them "Devices" in the first place.

Thanks for this explanation. Is it also on the to-do list to allow for the "navigation to another dashboard" feature to work through a cloud link to a dashboard? To my experience, this only works when I access an EZ dashboard through the URL that is something like IP.address/dashboard/... and not the cloud URL that is something like cloud.hubitat.com/api/....
Reason why I ask is that it would be great to give my family one link to click (cloud or otherwise) then they could access multiple dashboard.

Not sure if I've seen that one before, but Easy Dashboard is still pretty new and not feature-frozen, so it's possible.
