Honeywell T6 Pro Usage

I currently have 2 Honeywell T6 Pro thermostats installed. I like these thermostats and they have been working for me with no issues. However, I’ve always been concerned about how these thermostats are natively setup to use Cycles Per Hour (CPH) to maintain heating and cooling, and whether they cycle my boiler or AC systems too often when heating or cooling. I do have temperature sensors throughout the house and have experimented with using them with Thermostat Controller to control heating and cooling. To be honest, I’m not sure if the hysteresis method of Thermostat Controller to maintain heating or cooling works any better or worse than the thermostat’s native CPH method. I’m curious as to what others with this thermostat are using. Do you just use CPH? Do you use Thermostat Controller with temp sensors? Do you use Thermostat Scheduler? Any other tips or suggestions to get the best use of these thermostats? Thanks in advance for your response.

I have 3 T6 Pro thermostats. 2 are for heat the 3rd is for A/C due to being different systems.

The CPH is the solid state version of the old mechanical anticipator. Since the thermal response of the heating / cooling system is so slow there needs to be a way that can limit the time the heat/cool is on at any given time, allowing the latent heat/cool to "coast" up to set temperature.

In the T6 the heat and cool CPH can be set differently. The internet suggests for A/C systems 2 or 3 CPH is optimum.

Thanks. I know what CPH is and does and mine are set per the manual for their respective heat and AC system types.

I’m looking more for real world scenarios of how people are using their T6 Pros, with or without Thermostat Controller, Thermostat Scheduler, etc.

I use the thermostat Scheduler but not the thermostat controller. I have respect for Honeywell's control capability. I've looked at the "dynamic" control in depth for several thermostats and found the Honeywell is the same or better than the others I've tested.
