Honeywell T6 pro thermostat driver emergency heat not working

I have 2 honeywell pro T6 z-wave thermostats attached to my hubitat. I was attempting to use the hubitat included driver to control these and everything seems to work except that the "emergency heat" option doesn't work. If go to the devices page and click "Emergency Heat" it doesn't actually seem to do anything (it'll remain on whatever mode it was already set to).

If I use the "Advanced Honeywell T6 Pro Thermostat" driver -- then it does work. I was hoping that this would be an easy fix to pull from the Advanced -> mainline driver to make it work.

Need some more details:

  1. Hub model and platform version
  2. ZWaveJS or Legacy?
  3. Which specific built-in driver?

"Generic z-wave plus thermostat" would be the recommended built-in driver. If you change drivers, be sure to click "Configure" on the device page.

I was previously using this one (which is what it auto-chose when I paired the device):

After switching to the generic thermostat it seems to do correctly switch in and out of emergency heat.

Two follow-up questions:

  1. any idea why there is a specific device one?
  2. Any idea how to get this emergency heat option to show up in EZ Dashboard tiles? (Dashboard Thermostat tile doesn't have "emergency heat")

AFAIK, that driver is deprecated.

I don't think that is supported yet in Easy Dashboard. It should work in a regular Dashboard. Tagging @gopher.ny

That is surprising since there was seemingly nothing in the UI that indicated that it is deprecated (plus it was auto-selected). For future reference, how would I know a driver is deprecated?

Thanks for that context -- I did check and I can see the option in the "regular" dashboard and it seems to work properly. I wasn't expecting the functionality to vary so much between them -- I had thought it was just a UI look change.
