Homekit Presence - working except for one iphone

Hi all,

I setup HomeKit with the same automations on 4 iPhones. Each iPhone is setup as a virtual presence with switch and turns the switch on when they arrive home, and off when they leave.

My problem is that three of the four phones turn on and turn off the presence switch with the automation in HomeKit.

On the one phone that's giving me an issue, everything looks the exact same as the other three. I've removed the automations and recreated them but for the life of me can't figure out why only one is phone is giving me trouble.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks,
Craig

The only thing I can think of that would cause this is if Homekit location access isn’t enabled on the rogue iPhone, but I would think that this would be evident when setting up the geofence boundaries. Have you tried rebooting the device? I have 6 iPhones setup like this and haven’t run into this problem.

Yup, rebooted the phone.

Is there a different way to confirm the HomeKit location is setup on the phone? Aside from allowing the location to be used while the app is in use?

Not that I am aware. Assuming this is a family member, is the iPhone’s location visible from the iPhone (in Find My) used to setup the automation in the Home app?

It should be yes, but I'll confirm. Thanks for the suggestion.
