I have a problem that is of utmost importance for me to resolve at it undermines my wife’s confidence in my home automation hobby 
.
I use a Konnected Garage Door Opener module to operate our garage door remotely. With HomeKit integration it generally works great (for ME) as the ‘Open Garage Door’ button appears in CarPlay when I get in the car or Approach the house after some time away. This allowed me to remove our physical garage door opener from our cars, which is great in our inner-city neighborhood, where forgetting to lock your car door overnight is generally a recipe for everything of value in your garage being nabbed!
So while this works seamlessly 99% of the time on MY phone, the problem is that it fails 95% of the time on my wife’s.
She regularly reports that the garage door shows as ‘unresponsive’ from her phone; especially when she returns home after some time away. I suspect that the issue is perhaps less to do with the Hubitat/Homekit integration with the Konnected Garage Door opener and perhaps more likely related either to :
- her Phone’s connection the Hubitat?
- something to do with her phone’s wifi connection to our home network vs 5G (I know it can be finicky if I try to open the garage door while MY phone is switching from 5G to Wifi; but it works fine if I’m strictly on 5G or definitively on wifi)
But I don’t have any idea where to start troubleshooting. 
my wife has threatened to give up on it and put the physical Door remote back in her car (which I hate the idea of since our garage is full of expensive bikes and tools)
Can anyone help me assess what I might be able to do to troubleshoot?
