Help with Sonos Integration

I'm having a somewhat frustrating time trying to integrate my Sonos system into Hubitat. I've poured over most of the threads I could find here and have done the following:

  1. Made sure all my Sonos speakers have a static IP set in the DHCP server in my firewall
  2. Both the hub and the Sonos system are on the same subnet.
  3. Most of my system is hardwired (save for my Sonos 1 surrounds and sub)
  4. Rebooted both the hub and all my Sonos speakers
  5. Tried both the built in Sonos integration, as well as the Advanced Sonos app from HPM
  6. Added some speakers manually using the Virtual Device/HEX IP method. Hubitat can control the speaker, but never queries for current state, so if I start playing in Hubitat, and stop in the app, Hubitat still thinks the speaker is playing.

When I try discovery in both the built in and advanced app, it just sits there and never finds anything (I let it run for hours too).

Both Home Assistant and Homebridge can connect and control all my speakers just fine, so I feel like I'm missing something with Hubitat here. Is there anything advanced I can try that I'm missing here?

Thanks!

I recently saw a thread and story about Sonos and mixing wifi and ethernet connections...at least if you are connecting to a Ubiquiti network.

Are you on Ubiquiti?

I saw that as well, however I'm using Aruba Instant On for all my networking, and OPNSense for my Firewall.

Thanks!

Gotcha. I honestly doubt aruba has the same problem, but, FWIW...I ended up WiFiing my entire Sonos setup, and my network (subjectively) "seems" better. The mixed wifi hardwire configuration really seemed to cause issues, albeit hard to identify with network performance on the whole.
